Down in the valley, you can spend your holiday in comfort. The walking trails include the “tru dles viles” farmstead hike and the “tru dles liondes” legend trail. The latter tells the legend of the Fanes people, who are said to have once had a marvellous kingdom up in the mountains, which was destroyed by the greed of a king.

For the adventurous, Kronplatz Bike Park on Plan de Corones offers challenging downhill tracks and the exhilarating Skyscraper giant swing. You can also test your mettle on the longest zipline in Europe, Adrenaline X-treme Adventures. This 3km zipline reaches speeds of 80km/h and soars 100 metres above the ground, providing a thrilling 400-metre vertical descent – an experience not to be missed even in winter.

Val Badia is also renowned for its crafts and art. The history of the Ladin valleys dates back to the days when Romans and Celts occupied the Alpine region. The two museums in Val Badia offer the opportunity to explore this rich heritage: Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor, where you can learn about Ladin history and customs, and Museum Ladin Ursus Ladinicus, which focuses on the cave bear and the fauna, flora and history of the Dolomites.
